The design's unique properties lie in its integration of colorful devices into the structure, creating an environment that mimics a natural climate. As one moves through the space, they experience the subtle shifts of scenery associated with spring, summer, autumn, and winter. This innovative approach to interior design sets Seasonal Baroque apart from other residential designs.
The realization of this design involved the use of various building materials such as steel structures, tiles, wire boards, woodwork, iron pieces, metal meshes, and metal mosaics. These materials come together to create a base space reminiscent of a fairy tale. The design also includes rich decorations that enlarge and brighten the room, adding to its lively atmosphere.
Spanning 182 square meters, Seasonal Baroque is not just a residential house, but a leisure area with various rest functions. It includes a banquet dining area, kitchen area, bar area, reading area, performance area, audio-visual leisure area, studio, and piano performance area. The layout of the space follows a spatial movement line, paying attention to every detail.
The design team, consisting of Fu Chiung Hui, Pan Hui-Tzu, and Lee Ken, envisioned the space as an exclusive club for the design company. On weekdays, the space is used for team work, stimulating creative energy through relaxation and rest. On holidays, the space transforms into a venue for parties, movie viewings, dinners, small concerts, and even pole dancing.
The design project, which took place from April to October 2021 in Taiwan, faced several creative and technical challenges. However, the team successfully transformed a joyous fairytale atmosphere into a warm autumn forest, and a white living room into an impression of an upcoming winter. The result is a design that cultivates creativity through eating, drinking, playing, and relaxation, offering a dynamic experience of light and shadow intensities from day and night.
Seasonal Baroque is a testament to Fu Chiung Hui's innovative approach to interior design. By integrating colorful devices into the structure, the design creates a unique experience of the changing seasons, making it a deserving winner of the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2022.
